In addition to headliners such as DJ Snake, Chris Lake, Slander, and Dom Dolla, there are also full venue takeovers by Elrow, All Day I Dream, Anjunabeats, Anjunadeep, and Boiler Room. The opening weekend alone features Alesso, as well as takeovers by Cityfox and Body & Soul. Along with revealing the new design, the bulk of the summer lineup has been announced as well. The stage area also now boasts a seemingly floating roof system to shield performers (and gear) from the elements while adding to the lighting production. The entire video rework is a collaboration with the multi-media studio Conveyor it even includes a bespoke media-server system. The video wall boasts 30 million pixels in 15k ultra-wide resolution across 1000-LED panels. There is a new and enormous video wall that spans the entire 200-foot wide stage and is 30-feet tall. In addition to a now completely unobstructed dance floor, the entire stage area has been completely reimagined. Billy Bildstein (Avant Gardner founder, owner, chief creative officer) This year we’re introducing the third generation of our Mirage concept and while it will bring a lot of improvements and upgrades, and will set new standards on many levels, we found a way to keep the soul of the last generations alive. Every new generation of the Mirage innovates with new custom methods of building modular structures, as well as with non-traditional use of the latest multi-media and entertainment technology available. The Mirage was always meant to adapt and change, to appear and to disappear. But now, for 2022, those columns are gone and major modifications have been made to the stage, video, and lighting capabilities. However, a number of columns remained in order to hold up the intricate lighting and mapping system in place at the time. For example, the parapet walkways with Manhattan views and a lookout tower with a tiki bar have remained from the beginning.Īfter its first two years, notable modifications were made to improve the video mapping and remove obstacles from the main dance floor. Even in its first, rudimentary iteration, it got a lot of things right from the start. As the only notable open-air venue that’s smaller than a stadium yet still large enough to host marquee names, it satisfied revelers’ desire for a club feel in an outdoor space. When The Brooklyn Mirage broke onto the NYC nightlife scene, it was an immediate hit drawing sold-out crowds right from the start. The Brooklyn Mirage has undergone a complete redesign and will host artists including Alesso, Bonobo, Charlotte de Witte, and more this season!
